Review: Just Dance 2 for the Wii

Review: Can't fault it

I really cannot say a bad work about this product. I already have Just Dance, so as soon as this was out I brought it. All other wii games I have brought I have got bored of pretty soon, but this is brilliant! I am currently using it for exercise. I do get bored of things VERY easily - I buy fitness dvds, use them a couple of times then never again, but that's why Just Dance 2 is so good, the variety is endless! The Sweat mode is great, it makes you want to play the game every day to reach your target. I can't wait for my friends to come around to play against each other, This game is like the dance version of karaoke when you are with a group of friends or family.

Review Just Dance 2 (Wii) (Video Game)

review: Just Dance 2 (Wii) (Video Game)

My kids loved the original Just Dance, but have long since got fed up with all the songs. I bought them this and having spent an hour on it myself I can see that they are not going to be disappointed. One for adults to avoid unless they have very thick skins, or can actually dance. My kids will however love it.

The game mechanics have been improved, it seems a lot better at working out what I am doing now. This won't benefit me much, but it will be a big plus for competitive children.

They may be a bit disappointed with the track selection. Its definitely more "for the whole family" than for just kids. However, there is a huge selection and it definitely a case of something for everyone. And a Wham song.

For some reason Amazon don't seem to be listing the tracks, but I c&p one below, so you can see for yourselves. Once the kids have given it a run through I will update this review with their findings, but as it stands, if you liked the original Just Dance you will love this.

Review: Just Dance 2 on the Wii

Review: Just Dance 2 on the Wii

Today I felt like a little change from my planned workout. I felt like I wanted to do some dancing so I busted out Just Dance 2 and busted a move. (I know, I’m a dork.)

This was my first time to do this one, though I’d done the original Just Dance before and enjoyed it (short review here). This one seems even better. I did the “Just Sweat” mode. You can choose how many “sweat” points you want to rack up for the day and then just keep picking songs to dance to until you reach your goal. I picked 1,000, which they call a “Tough Workout” and racked up over 1500 points in an hour of dancing. However, I’m not sure what those points were supposed to be. If it’s supposed to be calories burned, it was way off, because I was wearing my FitBit and it only showed that I burned 300 calories. Still, it was fun to have a goal to work toward and I shook my booty until I got to that goal (and went a bit over).

There are over 40 songs on the Just Dance 2 for Wii (and you can download more, though I’m too cheap to ever do that) and there’s a good variety of pop, electronica, retro stuff, etc. My favorite song was Junior Senior’s “Move Your Feet,” which I did 3 times today. I might like that one because I remember watching the video a lot when I lived in Europe. It gave me a happy feeling to hear it again and the dance moves were super-fun on that one. I think I did about 6 other songs as well, but “Move Your Feet” was the only one I did more than once.

Some songs were obviously easier than others, both in terms of the complexity of the moves and the amount of effort involved. There are little symbols to tell you how hard each is as you’re scrolling through (though I didn’t realize that until I’d already done several songs). The moves were totally doable, though some songs will take some practice. I could also figure out the next move coming from the little graphics on the bottom, unlike another Wii dance game I tried which made me curse at the TV. The best thing was that they have improved the sensing dealie on this (I don’t know how you say it) so that the game has a better idea of what your body is doing. It’s still just one Wii remote in your right hand so it doesn’t really know what the rest of your body is doing, but I had much fewer misses on this than I did on Just Dance. I am not bad with the rhythm and the boogie-ing and the so-forth, but on the original Just Dance I was gettin’ down in time but it wasn’t always registering with the Wii remote. I’m glad they improved that.

So I highly recommend this Just Dance 2 Wii game/workout. You can do the Just Sweat mode like I did or you can just shake your booty in the regular mode or you can party with your friends in the various multi-player modes (see more details on the Amazon page). However you do it, you’ll have fun–unless you just really hate dancing or really hate all the bubbly music, which is entirely possible if you are one of my music snob friends. To which I say, dude, relax and enjoy yourself already.

"juste dance 2"

"juste dance 2"

Dance to the rhythm of your favorite beat with Just Dance, a music & rhythm video game that allows you to dance the night away with your friends and family without ever leaving the house. I really can't believe they didn't have any more unlockable songs. But i would suggest this game to people who like music games, party games, dancing, or just plain FUN!!! The only down fall is that it doesn't pick up your moves that quick but its ok that's why dance 2 came out duh! The gameplay was difficult at first, but it is still fun and challenging. Also, there are no new dancers, songs, or extras to unlock, and everything is opened right off the bat. Buy Just Dance 2! Just Dance 2 also features 4 new gameplay modes: Duet Mode, Dance Battle Mode, Party Mode, and Just Sweat Mode. With simple pick-up and play controls, anyone can join the party. First of all, I could beat someone who was actually trying just by shaking around my Wii Remote.

I dont have this game but i played it at my friends house and its awesome. The perfect game for anyone(dancers, kids, adults) who likes to get up and move. this is my favorite game in the world. If a young child was playing this game, it might be a great fit, but anyone looking for fun and somewhat of a challenge should pass up on this game and pick up Just Dance 2 instead. I hope Just Dance 2 is better than this. The Just Dance phenomenon has everybody on their feet, moving to the beat and just having fun! Just Dance 2 has an all new song list including many legendary hits and a wide selection of musical genres. You'll be have a blast trying to master the moves and at the same time you'll be burning calories! * One of the best dance mixes around: Just Dance features more than 30 licensed tracks, ranging from iconic dance hits such as "You Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer to modern day pop with "Hot N Cold" by Katy Perry. There also really needed to be more songs that are familiar to younger players. I mean standing by urself randomly shaking would look mighty strange lol.

I love this game as much as just dance 2 and it is great to just own both games you will never get bored with the songs, i love cotton eye joe song its great!! However, I was wrong. Also, the dancers look unrealistic with terrible backgrounds. Developed exclusively for Wii, Just Dance 2, with its improved detection system, new duet, co-op and competitive game modes is now, more than ever, the ultimate dance game! So what's new with Just Dance 2 and what makes it a must-have dance / music game for the Nintendo Wii? Up to eight players can enjoy Just Dance Playing the game is fairly straightforward. You will now be able to download from an expanding catalogue of new hits using WiiWare. They had a good concept, but they blew it off with the lack of effort. Its like a physical version of rock band. when i first heard that he had it im like "wow cant get much girlier than that!!!" lol but when i started playing it i realized just how awesome it was. i broke a sweat after the second song. one thing though its probably not as much fun by yourself.
